Returns & Refunds Policy – Solas Nutrition

At Solas Nutrition, we want you to be confident when purchasing from us. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges.


1. Your Right to Cancel (EU Consumer Rights)

Under EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.

However, due to the nature of food supplements, this right is subject to important hygiene and safety exceptions, outlined below.


2. Eligibility for Returns

You may return an item if:

  • The product is unused and unopened

  • It is in its original, sealed packaging

  • The return request is made within 14 days of delivery

  • Proof of purchase is provided


3. Non-Returnable Items

For health, hygiene, and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Opened or used food supplements

  • Products with broken seals

  • Products returned outside the 14-day window

  • Items damaged due to misuse or improper storage

This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty or incorrect.


4. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive a product that is:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged in transit

  • Incorrect (wrong item sent)

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery at:

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A description of the issue

  • Photos of the product and packaging (if applicable)

Where a fault is confirmed, we will offer:

  • A replacement or

  • A full refund (including original shipping costs)


5. How to Request a Return

To request a return, please email:

Include:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

Do not return items without contacting us first, as unsolicited returns may not be processed.


6. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns

  • We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit

  • If the return is due to a fault or error on our part, we will cover return shipping costs


7. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days

  • Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund

Refunds will include:

  • The product price

  • Original shipping cost (for faulty or incorrect items only)


8. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued if:

  • Items are returned damaged

  • Packaging is missing

  • The product shows signs of use


9. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you wish to change a product, please:

  1. Request a return (if eligible)

  2. Place a new order separately


10. Orders Returned Due to Delivery Issues

If an order is returned to us due to:

  • Incorrect address provided

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Refusal to pay customs duties (international orders)

We will refund the product cost only, excluding shipping fees.
Reshipping can be arranged at an additional cost.


11. International Orders

For orders outside Ireland or the UK:

  • Customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import charges

  • These charges are non-refundable
