INTENSITY: The Science Behind the Formula
INTENSITY: The Science Behind the Formula
Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of reach of children.
Formula Design Philosophy
When we set out to create INTENSITY, one idea sat at the core of everything: this had to be something you could rely on every single day.
Too many pre-workouts are built for one hard hit — then leave you flat, wired, or off your appetite for the rest of the day. That wasn't the goal here. INTENSITY was designed around clean, steady energy and full-day functionality, whether you train early, late, or somewhere in between.
One scoop gives a smooth, controlled experience — a good starting point for beginners or anyone sensitive to stimulants. Two scoops is the full dose for experienced lifters who train at a higher intensity.
INTENSITY isn't built around overstimulation. It's built around balance — energy, focus, and hydration support, dosed at levels used in performance research, with nothing added just to fill out the label.
L-Citrulline — 6,000 mg
L-Citrulline is an amino acid widely studied for its role in nitric oxide (NO) production, which supports vasodilation — the widening of blood vessels. This is commonly associated with increased blood flow to working muscles during training. INTENSITY uses 6,000 mg, in line with doses used in performance research.
Malic Acid — 2,000 mg
Malic Acid is often paired with Citrulline (as Citrulline Malate) for its role in the Krebs cycle, the body's primary energy pathway. It's included here to complement Citrulline's effects during training.
Betaine Anhydrous — 2,500 mg
Betaine (Trimethylglycine) is an osmolyte studied for its role in muscle hydration and power output. It's a common addition in performance formulas for athletes training at higher intensities.
Taurine — 1,500 mg
Taurine supports hydration and electrolyte balance, and is commonly included alongside caffeine to help smooth out the energy curve during a workout.
L-Tyrosine — 2,000 mg
L-Tyrosine is a precursor to neurotransmitters including dopamine and noradrenaline, and is often included in formulas targeting mental focus under physical stress. INTENSITY uses a 2,000 mg dose.
Theobromine (from Cocoa) — 200 mg
Theobromine is a mild natural stimulant derived from cocoa, often used alongside caffeine to help provide steadier energy delivery.
Caffeine Anhydrous — 300 mg
Caffeine Anhydrous is a well-established stimulant associated with increased alertness and reduced perception of fatigue. INTENSITY contains 300 mg per full serving — please account for any other caffeine sources in your day when deciding how much to take.
Citicoline — 250 mg
Citicoline (CDP-Choline) is a choline source studied for its role in acetylcholine production, a neurotransmitter linked to focus and the mind-muscle connection.
Magnesium (as Bisglycinate) — 50 mg
Magnesium supports normal muscle function and energy metabolism. The Bisglycinate form is generally well tolerated and well absorbed.
Potassium (as Potassium Chloride) — 200 mg
Potassium is an electrolyte that supports muscle function and hydration, helping to replace what's lost through sweat during training.
Sodium — 200 mg
Sodium supports hydration and electrolyte balance, and is a standard inclusion in formulas designed for higher-intensity or longer training sessions.
Vitamin B6 (as P5P) — 10 mg
Vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy metabolism and protein/amino acid metabolism.
Vitamin B12 (as Methyl-B12) — 500 mcg
Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Methylcobalamin is a well-absorbed form of B12.
Niacin (Vitamin B3) — 16 mg
Niacin contributes to normal energy metabolism. Some people experience a temporary warming or flushing sensation shortly after taking niacin — this is a known, harmless response and not a sign of a problem.
How the Formula Fits Together
INTENSITY combines a few functional groups, each included for a specific role:
- Citrulline + Malic Acid — pairs commonly used together in endurance-focused formulas
- Caffeine + Theobromine + Tyrosine + Citicoline — a stimulant and focus-support combination designed to avoid a single sharp spike
- Taurine + Electrolytes + B-Vitamins — included for hydration and general energy metabolism support
Why We Chose Not to Include Beta-Alanine
Every ingredient in INTENSITY is included for a specific, evidence-based reason — nothing is added just because it's expected on a label. That's why we made the deliberate choice not to include Beta-Alanine.
Beta-Alanine is commonly used to help buffer lactic acid during high-intensity exercise, but it's also well known for causing paresthesia — a tingling or itching sensation shortly after use. For some people this is harmless; for others it's distracting enough to interfere with focus.
We'd rather leave an ingredient out than include one that could work against the formula's overall goal of clean, controlled focus.
